Modern dance group to perform at Briggs library

Briggs Lawrence County Public Library invites children of all ages and their families to attend “On Your Mark, Get Set, Read! A Modern Movement Exploration,” performed by members of the Jeslyn Dance Gallery of Huntington. The five scheduled performances, one at each Briggs Library location, are the final programs of the 2016 Children’s Summer Reading Club.

The Jeslyn Dance Gallery’s philosophy of bringing arts to everyone through artistic movement fits perfectly with the library’s summer reading theme, “On Your Mark, Get Set, Read,”

“Performances by the Jeslyn Dance Gallery have become our traditional final programs for our Summer Reading Club. The children and their families enjoy them so much we’ve invited them back every year since 2009. They always do a great job of creating a program that fits right in with our summer reading theme,” children’s librarian, Cheryl Blankenship, said.
