Special Needs Youth event Saturday

KITTS HILL — Special Needs Youth Sportsmen Inc. will have a free field day and European pheasant hunt for all interested special needs youth at 10 a.m. Saturday at the K-Hill Indoor Shooting Range facility at 9905 State Route 141.

The morning will begin with clay target shooting for all children, followed by the participants being divided into three groups and rotating through three other stations, which include archery instruction and shooting, still target instruction and shooting and actual pheasant shooting. Pheasants will be released in a controlled manner for the participants, with the aid of adult mentors.

The entire event is free to all participants and families. All equipment and materials will be furnished for all participants.

Lunch will be provided free for all participants and families as well. Participants are urged to arrive and sign in by 9:30 a.m.
