Chris Collins has what it takes

Lawrence County faces major challenges today. Christopher Collins has demonstrated the understanding of these challenges and has the right experience to help us for the future of our county.

He has firsthand experience working on our state’s 8 billion dollar budget. He has worked with local governments – counties, townships, municipalities, and villages – from the state level looking down.  This gives him an incredibly unique experience and perspective.

A consensus seems to exist by both candidates and constituents that our biggest challenges are jobs, drugs and the jail crisis.  Christopher has illuminated the fact that we are not the creator of all of our problems, but we are the ones footing the bill.

For example, Columbus has compounded our jail crisis by implementing new state policy requiring felony four and five offenders be kept locally.

Christopher has showed willingness to hold our state legislators’ feet to the fire to ensure we get the help we need to put an end to this perpetual strain on our county’s budget and taxpayer dollars. This year it will cost us an estimated $1 million dollars alone to transport and house prisoners in other counties.

Christopher has also brought to light the realistic possibility of our county securing a long term treatment recovery facility through a capital appropriation with the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.

Perspective and awareness of funding resources is essential.

As a life-long Lawrence County resident, a business owner and South Point Village Council woman, I truly believe Christopher Collins is a step in the right direction for our county and ask that the voters of Lawrence County join me in voting for him Nov. 8.

Vote Chris Collins

Christopher Collins is one the finest legislative directors that I have ever had. His understanding of the Ohio legislature and the process involved along with his performance of the duties of the senate were second to none.

His consciousness is unparalleled. I miss him everyday.

He was outstanding with resolving constituent problems and needs. He has always had a good ear to listen and to understand taxpayer concerns and needs.

Lawrence County is lucky to have him there and running for county commissioner. I fully endorse Christopher and highly recommend him to the voters of Lawrence County.
