Fighting Tigers K-2
instructional league
The Fighting Tigers’ K-2 grade instructional basketball league sponsored by Ironton High School registrations will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday at Spare Time Recreation, 2216 South 3rd Street.
Fees are $25 for the first child and $10 for each additional family member. Checks should be made payable to the “Ironton Athletic Department.”
All six sessions will be held on Saturdays in the high school gym. Sessions are 9 a.m. to noon on Dec. 3, 10 and 17 and Jan. 7, 14 and 21.
League directors are Mark LaFon and Doug Graham. For additional information, call the athletic department at (740) 532-5235.

OVC basketball
preview schedules
The Ohio Valley Conference basketball previews will be held at Coal Grove High School.
The girls will be Friday, Nov. 18, and the boys on Friday, Nov. 25. Admission is $6 for adults and $3 for students.
Here is the schedule:
6 p.m. Ironton vs. Portsmouth; 6:45 p.m. Gallipollis vs. South Point; 7:30 p.m. Fairland vs. Chesapeake; 8:15 p.m. Rock Hill vs. Coal Grove.
The second team listed is the home team.

preview schedules
The Southern Ohio Conference boys’ basketball previews will be held Friday, Nov. 25, at South Webster High Schoo.
Games will begin at 5 p.m. and consist of two quarters. Admission is $5. Here is the schedule:
5:00 — South Webster vs. Portsmouth Notre Dame; 5:40 — Oak Hill vs Sciotoville East: 6:20 — Waverly vs. Portsmouth Clay; 7:00 — Portsmouth West vs. New Boston; 7:40 — Minford vs. Latham Western; 8:20 — Northwest vs. Symmes Valley: 9:00 — Beaver Eastern vs. Wheelersburg; 9:40 — Lucasville Valley vs. Green.

Deer hunt, banquet set
for Special Needs Youth
Special Needs Youth Sportsmen Inc. will conduct its annual deer hunting event and banquet for interested Special Needs Youth on Friday and Saturday at the Collins Career and Technical Center at Getaway.
Actual hunting will take place all day Saturday during the Ohio youth deer hunting special season which is open to youths aged 17 and under.
The free banquet for all will be held on Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m. For planning purposes families are urged to pre-register by calling 740-645-6590, or register on line at www.specialneedsyouth.org.

Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers’ head basketball coach Doug Graham is asking for photos or copies of photographs from the 1980 and 2005 state tournament games.

Redsfest tickets on sale
for Dec. 2-3 Reds’ event
CINCINNATI — FOX Sports Ohio Redsfest presented by PNC Bank will be held at the Duke Energy Convention Center in Downtown Cincinnati on Friday, Dec. 2, from 3 to 10:30 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 3, from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Two-day tickets are $25 for adults and $12 for kids 12 and younger. One-day tickets are $17 for adults and $7 for kids. Children three and under are admitted free.
