Warren JFK beats Minter 24-6 in D7 title game

COLUMBUS (AP) — Warren John F. Kennedy won its first title since 1991 with a 24-6 win over Minter in the Division VII state football final on Saturday at Ohio Stadium.
JFK’s Evan Boyd set the Division VII title game record for yards (166) and carries (36), including a 39-yard touchdown with 3:10 to left in the game to seal the win.
Boyd also had a 1-yard TD run in the third quarter to make it 17-6.
Earlier, a 1-yard run by Greg Valent and a 29-yard field goal by Justin Bofenkamp gave the Eagles (14-1) a 10-6 halftime lead after Jared Huelsman opened the scoring for Minster (10-5) with a 1-yard run in the first quarter.
JFK had allowed an average of 6.6 points per game entering the title game.

Trotwood-Madison 0
COLUMBUS (AP) — Akron Archbishop Hoban won its second straight title with a 30-0 victory over Trotwood-Madison in the Division III state football title game on Saturday at Ohio Stadium.
Hoban (14-1) quarterback Danny Clark was 7 for 10 for 165 yards and two touchdowns and ran for a 34-yard score in the third quarter.
Teammate Todd Sibley ran for 151 yards and a TD on 17 carries.
Raveion Hargrove had 137 yards on 24 carries for Trotwood-Madison (12-3).
Sibley rushed for a 49-yard touchdown at the 6:50 mark of the first quarter for a 6-0 lead. Clark hit his younger brother, Caden Clark, on a 10-yard TD toss with 4:37 left in the first half, and Danny Clark connected with Garrett Houser on a 60-yard TD for the 20-0 halftime score.
