Pointers’ offense keys win

SOUTH POINT — Found it.
After the offense disappeared in a loss last Friday on 26 percent shooting, the South Point Pointers found it on Monday as they had three players in double figures en route to a 63-47 rout of the Pt. Pleasant Big Blacks.
Tayshaun Fox scored 18 points, Jared Whitt had 11 and Cody Runyon added 10 as the Pointers hit four 3-point goals and went 12-of-16 at the foul line.
The Pointers’ offense was alive at the start of the game as they took a 24-11 first quarter lead. Fox hit a 3-pointer and scored seven points, Runyon hit a pair of 3-pointers and Whitt had five points including a 3-pointer.
The lead stretched to 40-18 at the half as Fox and Whitt scored six points each in the second quarter.
Elijah Adams scored six points in the third quarter including 4-of-4 at the foul line while Runyon hit another 3-pointer along with a free thrown and the lead was a comfortable 52-28.

Pt. Pleasant (10-9) was led by Will Harbour with 14 and Parker Rairden added 10.
South Point hosts Rock Hill on Friday.
