ODOT lifts some road restrictions

The Ohio Department of Transportation has lifted some restrictions on Lawrence County roads and the routes are open to traffic as of 10 a.m. Friday.

Locations include State Route 522, State Route 378 and State Route 243.

Although State Route 243 is now passable, it is restricted between County Road 36 (McKinley Creek Road) and Township Road 85 (West Rankins Creek-Union Township Road) and signs have been posted as standing water remains on the route.

The following closures remain in effect on the state highway system:

  • State Route 141 at the 21.0-mile marker near County Road 4 (Aetna-Waterloo Road);
  • State Route 217 at the 6.1-mile marker, between the intersections of State Route 378;
  • State Route 650 at the 9.0-mile marker near County Road 27 (Little Pine Creek Road) and State Route 522.
