Flyers’ Walters named Division IV All-Ohio

Let’s cut to the chase. Hey, that’s what the St. Joseph Flyers did all season.
The Flyers look to their top scorer and rebounder Chase Walters all season and it paid off for them.
It also paid dividends for Walters who was named to the Associated Press Division IV All-Ohio basketball team as an honorable mention selection.
Walters — a three-year starter — averaged 17.2 points a game, 6.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists from his post position.
The 6-foot-1 junior helped lead the Flyers to the Division IV sectional title and berth in the district tournament for the first time since 2014.
Green Bobcats 5-8 sophomore guard Tanner Kimbler was also named Honorable Mention All-Ohio in Division IV.
Kimbler averaged 18 points a game and earned second team all-district honors.
Portsmouth Clay’s head coach Adam Betten shared Coach of the Year honors with Matt Tabler of Lima Perry.
