Moeller will face Massillon Jackson for Division I title

COLUMBUS (AP) — Three 3-pointers helped Cincinnati Archbishop Moeller to a 57-47 victory over Pickerington Central after Pickerington had tied the score early in the fourth quarter of a boys Division I semifinal game on Friday.
Isaiah Payton made two of the Crusaders’ 3-pointers.
Moeller (28-0) plays the Massillon Jackson Saturday in Columbus. Moeller’s most recent of three state titles was in 2007.
Payton’s first 3-pointer broke a 41-41 tie with five minutes remaining, putting the Crusaders ahead for good. Keegan McDowell made it 47-43 with a 3-pointer and Payton added his second one for a 50-45 lead with 2:30 remaining. Payton and McDowell each had 10 points.
Jeremiah Davenport led Moeller with 17 points. Jeremiah Francis had 13 of his 16 points in the first half for Central (26-3).
Massillon Jackson 75,
Lakewood St. Edward 64
COLUMBUS (AP) — Kyle Young scored 25 points to lead Massillon Jackson to the title game for the first time in seven years with a 75-64 win over Lakewood St. Edward in a Division I semifinal.
Young made 10 of 12 field goals on Friday and had three thunderous dunks as the Polar Bears (27-2) seek to repeat their 2010 championship. They’ll play Cincinnati Archbishop Moeller at 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
St. Edward (23-6) trailed by 19 in the third quarter and 15 with six minutes to play before making it 61-52 on a Michael Dowell 3-pointer. But it got no closer even though Jackson missed 18 of 34 free throws in the game.
Logan Hill and Kyle Nicolas each had 11 points for Jackson. Thomas Schmock scored 23 points for St. Edward.
