IRVING, Tx —Marshall tight end Ryan Yurachek was tabbed a preseason All-Conference USA selection by the league’s 14 head coaches in an announcement that was made Monday.
The Myrtle Beach, S.C. native also earned the distinction from Athlon in May.
Last week, he was named to the preseason watch lists for the Mackey Award and American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Good Works Team.
Yurachek returns as the team’s active leader in career receptions (89), receiving yards (864), touchdown receptions (16) and scoring (96). He enters the 2017 season with a streak of 29 consecutive games with a reception. The streak dates back to Nov. 15, 2014, when he caught four passes for 31 yards against Rice.
Marshall will open its 2017 season on Saturday, Sept. 2 at home against Miami (Ohio) at 6:30 p.m.
