Paul Barry

Paul Gene Barry, 74, of Ironton, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Kentucky. He was a Lawrence County lifelong native, except for three years and seven months in Grantsville, Maryland.
He was born Oct. 15, 1943, a son of the late Lawrence and Bessie Wilson Barry and stepmother, Edith Jenkins Barry.
Mr. Barry was a graduate of Windsor High School in 1961. He was a former employee for Schafer Motors, Inc. in Ironton, 26 and a half years, TAG Galyean, Inc. for two years in Huntington, West Virginia, Louie Fonduke Honda for one year in Barboursville, West Virginia, and Iron Lincoln-Mercury for two years. He was also a member of Community Of Christ Church in Ironton, and a member of Proctorville 550 Lodge in Proctorville.
In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by one brother, Billy Wray Barry; and sister-in-law, Betty Baldwin Barry.
He is survived by a son, Paul Eric Brumfield Barry, and his wife, Denise Burcham Barry, of Lawton, Oklahoma; and two grandsons, Bret Barry and Ethan Barry, also of Lawton, Oklahoma.
He also had a niece and several cousins.
He lived with Chloie Barry Whitehead, his first cousin, and second cousin, Donnie Whitehead.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with the Rev. Mike Whitehead officiating. Burial will follow in Aid Cemetery and visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.

William Fielding Jr.

William O. Fielding Jr., 81, of Proctorville, died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Fielding.

Sherry Basenback

Sherry Lynn Basenback, 49, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, at home. She is survived by her husband, Danny Basenback.

Clarence Ferguson
