Larry Spencer

May 23, 1937 — Feb. 27, 2018

Larry Dale Spencer, 80, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, in Findlay. Larry was born in Portsmouth, the son of Virginia and Harry (Bud) Spencer.
Larry graduated from Greenfield High School, Chillicothe. He served in the Navy for 11 years as a hospital corpsman. After his Naval service, he settled in Ironton. He was employed at Markin-Blanton and was a member of Christ Episcopal Church.
Larry received a degree in nursing at Hocking Hills Technical College in Nelsonville. He worked in various nursing positions until his retirement in 2004.
Larry is survived by his four children and their spouses, Dale and Ramona Spencer, of Hampton, Virginia, Dean and Mary Christine Spencer, of Huntington, West Virginia, Laurel and Dwight Baise, of Chesapeake, and Christina and Tom Dempsey, of Ona, West Virginia; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jason Moye.
A private graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Wheelersburg.

Mary Lou Thomas

Mary Lou Thomas, 88, of Ironton, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018. She was born July 2, 1929.
She is preceded in death by husband, William J. Thomas; parents, Lucy and Edgar Zuercher; brother, Jerome Zuercher; and sister, Regina Ohara.
She is survived by three sons, Edgar Thomas “Butch,” of Clearwater, Florida, Kevin Thomas, of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Eric Thomas, of Indian Rocks Beach, Florida; daughter, Lisa Parlier, of Nashville, Tennessee; two grandsons, Evan Parlier and Stuart Parlier; three granddaughters, Danielle, Carrie and Hanna Thomas; and special neighbors, Doug, Tonya and Connor Waller.
Her body was donated to the Marshall University School of Medicine. There are no services.

Kyle Yerian

SPC Kyle Thomas Yerian, 26, of Ironton, died Friday, March 2, 2018, in El Paso, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Erica Hughes Yerian, of Huntington, West Virginia.
Memorial service with military honors will be 3 p.m. Friday at Beard Mortuary, Huntington, West Virginia. The family will welcome friends one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.beardmortuary.com.

Walter O’Field

Walter Jimmie O’Field, 82, of Chesapeake, died Sunday, March 11, 2018, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Mary O’Field.
Funeral service will be noon Thursday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Burial will follow in Memorial Burial Park, Wheelersburg. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-noon Thursday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ehallfuneralhome.com.
