Five on ‘Most Wanted’ list no longer at large

Five people who made recent editions of the “Most Wanted” probation violators list were either apprehended or turned themselves in, Lawrence County Adult Probation Agency Chief Probation Officer Carl Bowen II said.

Tiffany Thornsberry, 22, and David Thornsberry, 25, were taken into custody last week during a traffic stop in Scioto County.

Both were on probation for drug charges.

They were added to the Most Wanted list the week of Nov. 30.

Garland Brown, 50, who was on probation for a DUI conviction, didn’t wait for authorities to find him.

“He called and said he had had enough and turned himself in,” Bowen said. Brown was on the “Most Wanted” list last week.

On Saturday, the Ironton police apprehended David Nance, who was on probation for criminal non-support.

Also Saturday, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office apprehended Buddy Hardy, who was on probation for aggravated burglary and felonious assault.

All five were wanted for violating their probation in some way; the most common violation is failing to report to their probation officer on a regular basis.

These are this week’s Most Wanted Probation Violators.

— Jeff D. Elswick, 22, was last known to be living in Coal Grove. He is on probation after pleading guilty to drug and criminal tools charges.

He is 5 feet, 5 inches tall, 128 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.

— Jeffrey S. Wilson, 20, was last known to be living in South Point.

He is on probation for a burglary conviction. He is 5 feet 9 inches tall, 160 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

— Deryk Neal, 22, was last known to be living in Proctorville. He is on probation for a burglary conviction.

He is 6 feet, 1 inch tall, 205 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

— Ben Hughes, 35, was last known to be living in Pedro.

He is 6 feet, 1 inch tall, 152 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

He is on probation for conviction on a receiving stolen property charge.
