Ironton VB camp
The Ironton Lady Tigers’ volleyball camp for grades 3-9 as of this fall will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Monday and Tuesday, July 27-28, at the Ironton High School Sports Center.
Feeis $25. Checks should be made payable to the Tiger Clan. Applications are available from any member of the high school volleyball team or at Bob Linn Sporting Goods.
Each camper receives a T-shirt at the end of the clinic along with an awards’ presentation.
Camp directors are coaches Beth Campbell, Missy Fields and Kevin Richardson.
IHS dance camp
The Ironton High School color guard will conduct a dance camp for youth entering grades 3-9 from 8:45 a.m. to noon July 7-9 at the Conley Sports Center.
Fee is $25 and checks should be made payable to I.H.S. Guard. Each camper receives a T-shirt at the end of camp. There will be an awards ceremony at the end of the camp.
The camp will stress footwork, technique, showmanship, teamwork, attitude, posture, dance routine and confidence.
Camp directors are Valerie Freeman and Angela Malone. Instructor and choreographer is Patty Freeman.
IAYSA registrations
The Ironton Area Youth Soccer Association will conduct registrations from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays, July 18 and 25, at Bob Linn Sporting Goods.
Registration is for youths ages 4-14 between the dates Aug. 1 1995 to July 31, 2005. Youths will be divided in groups of U-6 through U-14.
Fee is $20 each and $15 for each additional sibling. There is a $5 late fee for each player for registrations after Aug. 1.
CGML tournament
The Coal Grove Minor League will conduct a pitching machine tournament for ages 7-8 on July 13, 14 and 16 at the Coal Grove Little League complex.

RHLL needs coach
The Rock Hill Little League football is seeking a coach for the boys’ B-team (grades 3-4) for the upcoming season.

Rio basketball camp
The University of Rio Grande has one final girls’ basketball camp scheduled.
Session three is an overnight camp July 12-15 for girls in grades 4-12. Fee is $245.

Rio volleyball camp
The University of Rio Grande girls’ volleyball camp will be held for grades 7-9 from July 5-7, grades 10-12 from July 8-10.
The camp will be held in the Newt Oliver Arena on the campus. Reservations are on a first come, first serve basis. There is a limit of 60 campers per session.

Softball tourney set
The Summer Clash men’s softball tournament will be held July 11 at St. Clouds Commons Complex in Huntington, W.Va.
Fee is $125 per team with three or four game guarantee. Teams must supply own 44-400 softball for open class NSA.

Rio golf, raffle set
The University of Rio Grande men’s and women’s basketball programs will hold their annual 300 Club Golf Outing Saturday, Aug. 1, at Franklin Valley Golf Course in Jackson with the dinner and raffle at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22, in the Newt Oliver Arena.
Donation for the 300 Club raffle is $100 with a grand prize of $10,000. Proceeds benefit the basketball programs.

Jackson 5K run
JACKSON — The 13th annual Jackson County Freedom Fest 5K run and walk will be held on Saturday.
The event begins at 9 a.m. at Manpower Park on East Main Street in Jackson.
The race will be run through the business and residential streets of Jackson.
Entry fee is $12 and all proceeds will go toward the cost of putting on the holiday’s activities.
All participating runners will receive newly designed Sports Festival t-shirts.
Plaques will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers.
Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers not winning plaques in each division for both male and female.
No pre-registration is required and registration may be made on the day of the race.
There will also be a one-mile fun walk starting simultaneously with the 5K run.
Those participating in the walk and wishing to purchase a t-shirt may do so for $10.
There is no cost for the walk, but there will be no awards for the walk.
