South Point police arrest two in burglary

Published Friday, July 10, 2009

SOUTH POINT — South Point police have arrested two people and charged them in connection with a June burglary.

But authorities are looking into whether these two people could be responsible for other similar crimes in the village.

Christopher Hale, of 503 Third St. E., South Point, and Daniel Wagner II, of 70 Township Road 1334, Burlington, were arrested June 30 and charged with burglary.

Last month an elderly couple told police that someone had been in their home and taken several items, including medication and money. Sgt. Lennis Abrams alleged that both men were familiar with the victims and was able to ascertain when they would be home.

Abrams said that when the suspects knew the victims where not home they went to the victims home, entered through the back door and removed several valuable items from the residence.

Abrams said he is investigating whether Hale and Wagner are connected to other thefts and burglaries in South Point.

Anyone with information on any criminal activity in the village may contact Abrams at 377-4011 or e-mail him at sppdabrams@yahoo.com.

So they stole drugs. What a shocker. it is time that more is done to these thiefin dope heads. When good people are frightened by having their homes broken into, it is time to stop.

It is time that are law abiding residents are protected from these type of thugs.
