Indian Valley tops Garfield

COLUMBUS (AP) — Gnadenhutten Indian Valley took advantage of three errors to defeat Garrettsville Garfield 7-4 in a Division III state baseball semifinal at Huntington Park.
The Braves (26-2) will play Hamilton Badin at 10 a.m. Saturday for a chance at their first title.
Indian Valley scored five unearned runs before Garfield (20-6) sliced the lead on a two-run double by Brent Marshall in the bottom of the fourth.
Strasburg-Franklin 3, Ansonia 0
AKRON (AP) — Abby Froman and Erin Metzger had home runs Thursday as Strasburg-Franklin beat Ansonia 3-0 in a Division IV state softball semifinal in Firestone Stadium.
The Lady Tigers (31-2) will go for their fifth championship when they faces Convoy Crestview in the title game at 1 p.m. Saturday.
