Carter site of double murder

Police seeking info on details of homicide

OLIVE HILL, Ky. — The bodies of a man and woman were found in a house in the west end of Carter County, Ky., on Monday.

The victims have been identified by Kentucky State Police as Virginia Massard, 49 and Joseph Cox, 27, according to a release from the Ashland Post.

The house was located on Mocabee Creek, off State Highway 995 in the west end of the county. KSP, Olive Hill Police and the Carter County Commonwealth Attorney are investigating.

An autopsy will be performed on the two victims. There is no information as the relationship between the two.
