Policeman’s ball set for Dec. 19

IRONTON — The annual Policeman’s Ball, sponsored by the Fraternal Order of Police Local 75, will be Dec. 19 at the Knights of Columbus.

“Last year was our biggest year ever,” F.O.P. President Pamela Neal Wagner said. “We sold out.”

Tickets may be obtained from any F.O.P. member, at the Ironton, Coal Grove, South Point or Hanging Rock police departments.

Dinner and happy hour will be 7-9 p.m. The group Strait 8 will perform 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

The proceeds from the ball will be used to defray expenses for the K-9 units at the Ironton Police Department and the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
