One killed in accident

LINVILLE — A single-vehicle accident that took the life of Willow Wood man is still under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Wendell Bryant, 50, was one of two passengers in a 1987 Chevrolet pickup truck that slide off the left side of State Route 217 and struck a power pole.
The driver reportedly lost control of the truck on the wet road near milepost 7. The accident occurred at 8:15 p.m. Friday.
The driver fled the scene and was still at large, according to a patrol dispatcher.
The condition and name of the second passenger had not been released at press time.
