NEW BOSTON — Taking it to the limit.

The St. Joseph Female Flyers went on the road and battled the New Boston Lady Tigers back-and-forth before dropping a tough volleyball match in the full five sets Monday, 25-11, 19-25, 25-22, 5-25 and 10-15.

“Michelle Staton had some good kills, Sara Burcham had some nice sets, Katie Hacker got some godo tipsand Sarah Goebel was valuable off the bench,” said St. Joseph assistant coach Hannah Glockner.

One of the plays that characterized the game was in the third set when the Female Flyers’ Victoria Redden dove into the stands to keep a rally alive.

“That was a real hustle play by Redden,” said Glockner. “I thought Kayla Pyles and Sydney Hammond made some clutch serves, too.”

In the reserve match, St. Joseph won in straight sets 25-12 and 25-16.

St. Joseph hosts Sciotoville East Wednesday.

Jim someone must be sending in the articles to you about these games, these box scores are not correct for the cg game. The individual scores are being trumped up for certain players related to the scorekeeper.

Apparently, you do not know who kept the books for varsity that night. Because if you did know who was keeping books for varsity that would mean you removed your head out of your butt. The next time you speak or want to comment, get your facts straight.
