One dead in pedestrian accident on U.S. 52

South Point man was struck by two vehicles

BURLINGTON — A South Point man is dead after being struck by two cars while he was walking along U.S. 52 near the Wal-Mart SuperCenter in Burlington Saturday.

According to information from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the victim has been identified as Kenneth J. Sherman, 45.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by Lawrence County Coroner’s Assistant Bill Nenni.

The drivers of the two vehicles involved were not injured.

They were identified as Amy Snodgrass-Crawford, 36, of South Point, and Mark E, Carter, 31, of Portsmouth.

The accident occurred at approximately 11:13 p.m. Saturday. It remains under investigation.

i was on my way home from work at this time and noticed a suv pulled off to the side of the east bound side pointed in the wrong direction.
