Clark Planetarium announces schedule for spring semester
Published Tuesday, February 9, 2010
PORTSMOUTH — Shawnee State University’s Clark Planetarium will be showing programs every Monday and Friday at 7 p.m. in the Advanced Technology Center.
“Monday and Friday shows will be the same in a given week, so there are two chances to see any show.” Timothy Hamilton, director of the Clark Planetarium said. “Programming will specifically include children’s shows the first week of each month.
“In general, shows include what you can see in the sky tonight as well as educational entertainment about black holes, the space race and the Hubble Space Telescope.”
All shows are completely free, and school groups and other non-profit groups who want to schedule a private showing will not be charged.
“The shows are open to the general public and they are appropriate for both children and adults,” Hamilton said.
For the planetarium schedule and visiting information, call (740) 351-3125 or visit planetarium.shawnee.edu.
