RIO GRANDE — P.J. Rase is making one more visit back home.
For the second time in his college career, Rase will be playing at the Cam Henderson Center as the Rio Grande RedStorm face the Marshall Thundering Herd Tuesday night.
The 6-foot-2 senior guard played his high school basketball across the Ohio River at Chesapeake where he was an All-Ohio player for the Panthers.
Rase has continued to be an outstanding shooter at the college level. He leads the RedStorm in scoring with a 17.2 average. The team’s lone returning starter has connected on 79-of-174 shots from 3-point range for 45 percent.
Always a deadly foul shooter, Rase is 81-of-86 from the line for a 94 percent clip.
Rase’s younger brother Kyle is also a member of the Rio Grande team.
Rio Grande is an NAIA program, unlike Marshall which is a Division I school.
However, the Thundering Herd has played several NAIA programs this season including a common opponent, Brescia.
