Ironton firefighter Joe Stevens shows Nick Thompson, 10, how the ladder truck operates while visiting Kingsbury Elementary during National Fire Prevention Week Friday. The students were told about smoke alarms, 911 calls, stop drop and roll and other fire safety information. The fire department is also hoping to educate adults as well about safe use of holiday lighting.
