Political signs like the one pictured here at the Ohio 93 and U.S. 52 exit near Ames in Ironton must be placed in accordance with city ordinances and county laws. Signs placed on utility poles, while popular, should be avoided, according to American Electric Power officials, because of the threat they pose to workers.
