United Steel Workers Union Local 3664 representatives walk into Intermet-Ironton Iron Tuesday morning to begin union membership meetings to inform workers about the plant’s impending closure. The union has scheduled a meeting with representatives of U.S. Rep. Ted Strickland’s office this afternoon to see what can be done to make the plant more attractive to potential buyers, spokesperson Dave Akers said.
