Hundreds of Ironton residents joined local officials Tuesday night at Ohio University Southern Campus’s Bowman Auditorium for an informational meeting with state officials and representatives of Gov. Bob Taft’s office. The meeting was organized as a means to provide possible answers and direction for the city, which by February will have lost more than 1,000 jobs to factory closings and layoffs.
