Carlos Davis scored 33 points and Andy Brown 20 to lead Miami-Hamilton.

"(Brown) has been playing about five minutes a game and he scores 20, and Carlos Davis does all right but then he scores 33," said Fry. "We couldn’t have been any better prepared. Their front court players just dominated the game. Folmar is the best athlete in our league, but Recker makes them go."

Brad Recker got 19 points and Gabe Formar added 13 for Miami-Hamilton.

Andrew Stevens poured in 33 points to lead Ohio Southern. Momir Gajic scored 15, and Maurice Creel tacked on 12.

"We didn’t play very well, but they had something to do with it," said Fry. "Miami’s very athletic."

Miami-Hamilton beat Cincinnati-Clermont 92-78 Sunday despite missing four starters to win the tournament championship.

Stevens hit 6 of 6 from 3-point range and had 24 points the first half as Ohio Southern trailed just 47-41 at the half.

The Trailblazers came out and got within 47-46 to begin the second half, but Miami-Hamilton put together a spurt and never looked back. OUSC managed to get within 11 points on one occasion.

"Andrew was hot, but they did a good job on him the second half and we couldn’t get the ball to him," Fry said.

Although Combs had 11 rebounds to lead OUSC in that department, Miami-Hamilton outrebounded the Trailblazers in what Fry termed a big key to the outcome.

"They killed us on the boards. If they missed a shot, they got the rebound and put it back up. We were most successful when we were able to get it out and run," said Fry.

Stevens scored 83 points in three games and was named to the all-tournament. Recker was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player and Folmar was all-tournament.

Ohio Southern finishes the season 17-16.

"To go through everything we’ve been through this year with players leaving and coaching changes, this said a lot about the character of this team," said Fry.

"We went through a stretch of six or seven straight losses and could have hung it up, but we battled until the end and we did it against a really tough schedule."
