AAA gets new manager; OBES has jobs

Teresa Call has been named manager of the AAA Ironton office. She replaces Becky Keyser, who relocated to AAA Akron.

Mrs. Call previously was with Travellers Choice, a travel agency based in Lorain. She has several designations, including Destination Specialist Training for Disney, Mexico, the bahamas, Hawaii and others.

"As a lifetime resident of Lawrence County, along with my husband, Steve, and my son, Cameron, I feel I am very in touch with the needs of the Ironton community and can provide quality service," Mrs. Call said.

She joins employees Jennifer Andrews and Rena Holbrook in the AAA Ironton office, 624 S. Fourth St., and may be reached by calling 532-3242.

In other AAA Ironton news, Jennifer Andrews recently completed the Disney Cruise Line’s Discover Uncharted Magic Agent Education Program.

As part of the program, Ms. Andrews completed 32 hours of training as well as take a four-night cruise aboard the Disney Magic.

She has been a travel agent with AAA Ironton for nearly two years, and she specializes in Disney Cruises and various tour packages. She currently is enrolled in the College of Disney Knowledge, which requires agents to have an extensive knowledge of Disneyworld, Disneyland and Disney Cruises.

AAA South Central Ohio is part of a regional AAA Club with 49 offices serving more than 1 million members in South Central Ohio, Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Firstar Corp., the parent company of Firstar Bank, has raised its prime lending rate to 9 percent from 8.75 percent. The last change in Firstar’s prime lending rate was Feb. 2 when it was raised to 8.75 percent from 8.5 percent.
