So, today’s announcement that Liebert Corp. has decided to bring 150 jobs to city is more than just a bit of good news – it is a relief for families who have not been sure for months what was going to happen next.

But this is only the beginning.

Liebert is not the only company that is going to see the possibilities in and advantages to relocating in Lawrence County. This will be the first of much more good news that is on the way.

And although there is reason for celebration today, there also is a need to keep focused and working toward the day when Ironton’s industrial sites will be full and employment opportunities back to acceptable levels.

The city is not out of the woods yet, but there is no question that today’s announcement is a sign that with a little bit of effort, Lawrence County will be back on track.

And all it took was a little hard work, a little help from friends in Columbus and a lot of pride in our hometown.

With that combination, how can we lose?
