Bryson Adkins, son of Tim and Lisa Adkins, takes his turn breaking ground for Mamre Baptist Church’s new ministry center. The little tyke was one of hundreds of churchgoers who brought shovels to church Sunday evening for the ceremony and a group picture afterward. The 11,000-square-foot ministry center will expand the church’s classroom space to 12 rooms and add a multi-purpose community room.
