Shelby Lambert tries a Hawaiian-style cupcake, joining her first-grade classmate Jessie Aldridge for a gym floor picnic at Rock Hill Elementary No. 2’s "Luau." The first grade has been using Hawaii as a teaching unit so, along with parent volunteers, teachers treated the students to volleyball, hula dancing, face painting, games, Hawaiian drinks – complete with umbrellas – and snacks, teacher Becky Sanborn said.
