PINE GROVE – A group of parents in the Rock Hill School District is questioning the employment of a bus driver and the suspension of a guidance counselor.
Four parents met with the board of education for more than four hours in executive session to discuss their concerns about Jeff Kelley’s employment as a bus driver in the district, Rock Hill superintendent Lloyd Evans said.
More than 60 people attended the board’s Tuesday meeting, which was continued until this evening.
Questions also were raised about a Rock Hill Middle School guidance counselor, Dallas McCoy, who accepted a voluntary 20-day suspension during last school year after questions concerning a drug test, Evans said.
McCoy also agreed to be evaluated by a drug counselor.
Evans said McCoy was evaluated by King’s Daughters Medical Center counselors, who determined there was no further need for consultation.
The continued meeting will be at 7 tonight at the high school.
The board announced no plans to continue the personnel discussion, but is expected to continue with its regular agenda.
