Flames destroyed Carl and Janet Jones’ home at 2657 County Road 17, said Annabelle Jenkins, county Red Cross coordinator.

Fayette No. 2, Burlington, Chesapeake and Perry Township volunteer fire department crews responded to the blaze. The couple and their three children were not home when the fire started, Mrs. Jenkins said.

Red Cross provided clothing vouchers the night of the fire, while neighbors loaned the family a camper to use, she said.

"Their garage across the road was not damaged, so they managed to hook up electricity and a phone to the camper," Mrs. Jenkins said.

The public can offer assistance by calling the family at 867-5260, she said.
