Four Ohio State Park resorts are offering Thanksgiving Day escapes this year – Complete with turkey and all the trimmings, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources said.

Beginning Wednesday, lodges at Salt Fork State Park in Guernsey County, Hueston Woods State Park in Preble County, Deer Creek State Park in Pickaway County and Burr Oak State Park in Morgan County will offer overnight visitors a not-too-pricey peaceful woodland setting while someone else does the holiday cooking.

For reservations, call 1-800-AT-A-PARK. Deer Creek’s toll-free resort reservation line is 1-877-678-DEER. Thanksgiving Day buffet reservations at Deer Creek must be made separately by calling 1-740-869-2020.
