Hannah Mootz of Pedro strokes her steer’s nose to calm it while it is weighed, measured and an identification tag is put in its ear. Miss Mootz will show the steer this summer at the Lawrence County Fair. She said she did well last year but it was her first. This year, she hopes to do better.
