The Panthers, ranked eighth in the Associated Press Division III poll, breezed to their 10th win in as many tries this season as they downed the Rock Hill Redmen 61-35 Friday in an Ohio Valley Conference game.

"We played everyone an equal amount," Panthers coach Norm Persin said "We jumped on them early and we were able to clear the bench. I didn’t think we played too bad."

The extra rest was important for the Panthers who played Runny Mede of Canada Saturday in the Coaxel Classic.

Anthony Delimpo had 13 points, seven rebounds, and five steals to pace the Panthers. Bobby Barbour added 11 points to the win.

David Schug scored 20 points for the Redmen, 2-8 and 0-3.

Zeb Best scored six of his eight points the first quarter as Chesapeake went ahead 20-13. The Panthers then outscored the Redmen 15-5 the second quarter to led 35-18 at the break.

Delimpo scored seven and Barbour six the third quarter to build a 50-26 cushion.
