The Chesapeake Panthers just keep on coming.

After starting ninth, the Panthers climbed to sixth in last week’s Associated Press Division III basketball poll.

This week, Chesapeake has jumped two more spots to fourth place, just one point behind third.

The Panthers, 13-0, have 211 points, just one behind Morral Ridgedale which is also 13-0 on the season.

Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary’s still leads the division with 346 points, 94 points ahead of runner-up Liberty-Benton.

Belpre (13-1) is ninth while Wheelersburg is now tied for 11th place with Ontario with 33 points. Wickliff is 10th with 36 points.

In the other divisions, Cleveland St. Ignatius is 51 points up on Columbus Brookhaven in Division I, Kettering Alter had nearly a 50 point lead over Wooster Triway in Division II, and Minster now leads Division IV with 320 points, just two more than former leader Lancaster Fisher Catholic even though Fisher Catholic has 18 first place votes to 14 for Minster.
