PORTSMOUTH – Jeff Fraley was all-conference when he played high school basketball for the Rock Hill Redmen. Things haven’t changed much now that he’s in college.
Fraley, a sophomore at Shawnee State University, was honored Wednesday when he was named second team on the All-American Mideast Conference selections.
The 6-foot-2 guard was second on the team with a 12.6 scoring average and third in rebounding with 4.2 a game. He ranked third in the league in 3-point shooting at 43.4 percent.
Shawnee point guard C. J. Captain was honorable mention All-AMC. He was fourth on the team in scoring (9.5) and led the team with 4.5 assists which was sixth best in the AMC.
Captain played for Ohio University Southern Campus last season.
