Tomorrow morning at 10 a.m., old "Peter Cottontail" himself will ride into the city on a fire truck to kick off the Ironton Business Association’s annual Easter Egg Hunt. At 10:30 a.m., children will be turned loose on the Lawrence County Courthouse lawn in their quest for finding Easter eggs, candy and other prizes.

The event, sponsored each year by downtown businesses of Ironton, attracts youngsters from throughout Lawrence County. Though the Easter Egg Hunt is primarily for the children, those of all ages can enjoy a day in the sun (hopefully!). Watching the kids work hard to discover treasures – and seeing their eyes light up when they make the discovery – is well worth your time.

So if you have children, bring them to the Easter Egg Hunt. Even if you don’t have children, it will be well worth your time.
