HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Even though they are just 1-11, the River Cities LocoMotives are still trying to get better.

The LocoMotives added three new players to the roster Tuesday with the addition of running back Alex Ruiz, wide receiver Brian Qwyn, and quarterback Jason Taylor.

Ruiz is a 5-foot-10, 205-pound runner who played for the Chicago Bruise in the recently defunct XFL.

Qwyn is a familiar face having played with the Ohio Valley Greyhounds in the National Indoor Football League. The 5-10, 175-pound Qwyn is played at the University of Chattanooga.

The 6-2, 215-pound Taylor is a former N.C. State quarterback who has had some playing time in the Arena Football 2.

River Cities plays saturday at Lake Charles, La., and has its final home game at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 14.
