LaToya Nichole Richendollar, the Ironton teen that left her home on Aug. 4 and disappeared into the night, is now back home.
"She’s back, safe, in her mother’s arms," Latoya’s mother Linda Short said.
The girl was found in Indiana County, Pa., by that county’s Sheriff’s Department. She was held by children and youth services until her mother picked her up last weekend.
"She hasn’t touched the computer she kinda had a scary experience," her mother said.
LaToya left her home to meet a man, Jason Wolford, 20, whom she met on an Internet chat site. Wolford is now out of jail on bond, said Indiana County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy David Rostis.
Wolford was arrested and charged with interfering with the custody of a child, Rostis said. He added Wolford is facing additional charges stemming from the event, but was unable to comment on those charges.
Short said she was thankful her daughter was home and she felt, "a great burden" lifted from her. She said she was thankful for all of the people that helped her find her daughter.
"Hopefully," Short said, "everything can go back to normal."
