An Ironton father and son will serve three years in prison for trafficking in OxyContin, Lawrence County Prosecutor J.B. Collier Jr. said.
Paul F. Anderson II, 46, of 1408 S. Seventh St., Ironton, pleaded guilty Wednesday to two counts of trafficking in drugs (Vicadin), fourth-degree felonies; and two counts aggravated trafficking in drugs (Oxycontin), third-degree felonies.
Paul F. Anderson III, 18, of the same address, pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs (Oxycontin), third-degree felonies, said Collier, who handled the cases.
The two were summoned to court following secret indictments by the Lawrence County Grand Jury this summer. The indictments stemmed from a Lawrence Drug Task Force undercover investigation.
Paul Anderson II was sentenced to three years in prison, driver’s license suspension and fined a total of $12,500. He must report in November.
Paul Anderson III was also sentenced to three years in prison, driver’s license suspension and fined a total of $7,500. He must report to prison Oct. 9.
Also in court this week:
– William Eastham, 28, of 718 Buckhorn St., Ironton: Pleaded guilty to three counts trafficking in marijuana, fifth-degree felony. Sentenced to three years community control sanctions.
– Mark Cole, 20, of 219 N. Sixth St., Ironton: Pleaded guilty on a bill of information to forgery, fifth-degree felony. Sentenced to three years community control sanctions under intensive supervised probation, including 30 days in county jail. Restitution ordered paid to Speedway on Park Avenue.
– Jeremy Sanders, 21, of 1219 S. Tenth St., Ironton: Pleaded guilty on a bill of information to burglary, third-degree felony, relating to entering an Ohio 141 residence. Sentenced to three years in prison. Must report Oct. 9.
– Phillip Thacker, 22, of 1858 State Route 218, Scottown: (Co-defendant) Pleaded guilty on a bill of information to burglary, third-degree felony, relating to entering an Ohio 141 residence. Sentenced to three years in prison. Must report Oct. 9.
– Crystal Marcum, 23, of 953 County Road 18, South Point: Pleaded guilty to an indictment charging two counts of theft, fifth-degree felonies, and one count of theft, first-degree misdemeanor. She was sentenced to three years community control sanctions, six months in county jail, restitution.
– Irvin Franklin "Frankie" Walker, 43, of 486 County Road 12, Proctorville: Found guilty on a probation violation, original charge of non-support. Community control extended an additional one year, 60 days in county jail.
