Over the last two weeks, students at Symmes Valley Elementary pitched in and cleaned out their kitchen cabinets to aid in the disaster relief efforts in New York. The students gathered 4,031 non-perishible food items that they gave to the Salvation Army Friday. The drive was sponsored by the school’s student council, pictured at left.
