Trick-or-Treat will take place 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 30 in Ironton, South Point, Chesapeake, Proctorville, Athalia and other areas. Coal Grove will observe Trick-or-Treat that night from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

There’s a lot more fun to be had during Halloween week, however.

The Ironton Business Association’s annual Safe Trick or Treat night will be Monday, Oct. 29, beginning at 5:30 p.m. It features many businesses giving out treats and an Ironton City Center full of food, fun and even more treats for kids.

The annual Ironton Halloween Parade will begin at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 29.

The Ironton Lion’s Club 10th annual "Haunted Tunnel" on Ohio 93 will be open not only tonight and Saturday night, but also Friday and Saturday, Oct. 26-27, and Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 30-31, featuring enough scares and frights to delight anyone.

The tunnel is a maze of rooms with mummies, bats, flying creatures, scary lights and sounds and many "haunting" attractions.

On Monday this year, the Haunted Tunnel will open on Monday, Oct. 29, for a "Fright Lite Night." This is for the weak of heart and very young who are curious but don’t want to be scared.

Admission is $5. Proceeds benefit sight research, helping the seeing impaired and charities the Lion’s Club supports in the Ironton area.

Tunnel hours are 7 p.m. until 11:30 p.m.
