Nick Rigney, road captain with the River City Hogs, leads more than a dozen riders of different clubs Saturday afternoon during the Jesse James Benefit Freedom Ride for NYC and DC, which was held started from the River Cities Freedom Rally at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds. The fair board sponsored rally featured a flagraising by Proctorville VFW Post 6878, singing, soup beans and cornbread and fund-raising activities – all designed to raise money in support of victims of tragedy in America and of the war against terrorism. All money will be given to the American Red Cross or other national assistance agencies. More than $450 had been raised by early afternoon. Donations can still be made to: River Cities Freedom Rally Fund, account number 197579723 at Firstar. Send checks to P.O. Box 344, Proctorville, Ohio, or make a walk-in donation at the Proctorville Firstar.
