The Arabia All-Stars 4-H club and C & C Grocery located in this northern Lawrence County community sponsored a coon hunt in order to help defer some of the medical costs encumbered by Gerald Ross, a Cadmus man who has diabetes.

About 37 hunters showed up for the hunt, which lasted from 8 p.m. Friday until 3 a.m. the next day. The charity hunt helped raise over $2,000 for the ill man. After all was said and done, Matt Mullins came in first at the AKC-style hunt. Mark Norris came in second and Ryan Hanshaw took third-place honors.
