Charles and Colleen Massey are crowned king and queen of the Downtown Food Pantry Saturday morning by Velda Cline.

In 1992 Colleen Massey, Pat Hopkins and Mary Jenkins started serving lunches on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the food pantry, and since then 39,912 meals have been served.

This year, the food pantry is on track to serve over 2,500 more. The pantry is located in the basement of First United Methodist Church in Ironton.
