Dec. 21, 1918-May 16, 2002 KITTS HILL -- Martha R. Wood, 83, of Kitts Hill died Thursday at a local health center.

The Greenup County, Ky., native was born Dec. 21, 1918, the daughter of the late Elmer and Sarah Owens Robbins.

She was the wife of Willard Clyde Wood, who survives.

She was a homemaker and a member of Oakvale Freewill Baptist Church near Princeton, W.Va., and Brookdale Baptist Church in Burlington.

She also was preceded in death by her first husband, Isiah Wise; two brothers, Henry and Haze Robbins; and two sisters, Inez Thomas and Mary McKenzie.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Sugar Creek Cemetery, with the Rev. Bill Jones officiating. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home.
