Feb. 12, 1918-May 16, 2002 Peggy F. Arthurs, 84, of Ironton died Thursday at a local health center.

The Lawrence County native was born Feb. 12, 1918, the daughter of the late Elza and Ida Roof Hutchinson.

She was the wife of the late Howard Arthurs.

She was a retired employee of a casket company in Bowling Green, and attended Lawrence County schools.

She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Marjorie Fryer and Bonnie Burke; and one brother.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Virginia Blankenship of New Carlisle; three grandchildren, Charles Blankenship Jr. of Flatwoods, Ky., Daniel Blankenship and Dustin Blankenship, both of New Carlisle; four great-grandchildren, Charles B. Blankenship III, Jon Blankenship and Rebekah Blankenship; and three great-great-grandchildren, Ashley Blankenship, Marissa Blankenship and Trevor Blankenship.

Funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kenny Giles officiating. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
